Why is my camera showing ERR, F-- or fEE error messages?

"fEE" error indicates that the lens aperture ring is not set to the minimum aperture (Largest f-number). This error usually occurs in older lenses consisting of an aperture ring. To resolve this error, select the minimum aperture and lock it using the aperture locking switch.Image

“F--" error indicates that no lens is currently attached to the body. However if there is a lens attached, it may mean that the lens is not attached properly and the camera is not communicating with the lens. Try cleaning the CPU contacts on the lens with a dry cloth and re-attach the lens again.
