As rechargeable home electronics, including smartphones and tablets, become more and more common, we believe that many customers have alternative means of charging and powering various devices, including cameras.
Due to this and in an effort to reduce Nikon’s impact on the environment, we have decided not to include such accessories with selected cameras *1. The camera battery can be charged by using the supplied USB cable with a charging plug you may already own or by connecting the camera to a computer.
We do not guarantee that all third-party AC adapters and USB cables are able to charge the battery. Depending on the model and product specifications, some computers will not supply current to charge the battery.
In the future, Nikon will consider the accessories to be supplied with each product in accordance with the concept behind the product and its target users.
