Nikon battery chargers supplied with the camera in Europe (or available as an optional extra) are multi-voltage and can be used in any country where the power supply is between 100v and 240v ~ 50/60Hz. The Nikon battery chargers will self sense the applied voltage and adjust automatically so there is no need to manually switch voltages when traveling abroad.
Nikon A/C power adapters also have similar characteristics. Always check the specification sticker on your battery charger or A/C adapter. Third-party products may not support dual voltage systems. Nikon does not recommend the use of third party battery chargers and A/C adapters.
Please note to use your Nikon battery charger or A/C adapter in other countries you may require a different power cable or plug adapter. Be sure that the new cord purchased fits the Nikon adapter you wish to use it with and that its voltage is rated for the power in the country you wish to use it in. Power cord suitable for the local power system can be obtained on arrival, or at most airport shops and computer suppliers as these items are typically used for Laptop computer power supply connections.
Using a different cord with the correct power rating will not affect the battery charger or A/C adapter warranty. Make sure you purchase the correct cord for the local power system, never use 110v rated cord in a 220v outlet.
Please note that the battery chargers models supplied in the USA may differ from those provided in Europe.
